Often described as a genius, Russell T. Davies is one of the leading British television writers of his generation, who specializes in emotional dramas, frequently with gay and sex-related adult themes.

His first series for Red was the ground-breaking adult gay drama Queer as Folk (1999) screened on Channel 4 in early 1999. In 2001 he followed this up with Bob & Rose (2001) and in early 2003 he wrote the religious telefantasy drama The Second Coming (2003) which cemented his position as one of the UK's foremost writers of TV drama.

Most famously, he is the chief writer and executive producer of the BBC's big budget revival of Doctor Who (2005), as well as the spin-offs Torchwood (2006), The Sarah Jane Adventures (2007) and subsequently created more gay drama with Cucumber (2015), sex-themed documentary series Tofu (2015), prescient series Years and Years and recently wrote Award winning A Very English Scandal (2018)

Rob Savage is a multi-award winning writer/director and 2013 Screen International Star of Tomorrow, working in shorts, features and commercials. He wrote, directed, shot, co-produced and edited micro- budget feature film Strings at age 18, which has screened at a number of prestigious International Festivals, including Raindance for its UK premiere and the Rome Film Festival for its European and won a British Independent Film Award. Rob is a Berlinale Talent Campus alumnus and has won a number of awards for his short films, including the BFI Future Film Award for sci-fi short "Sit in Silence" in 2011. Most recently he directed several episodes of Britannia.

Alex Mackie, ACE, is a BAFTA, EMMY, and EDDIE nominated film editor. She is currently based in London, but also works in the US. Alex received a BAFTA nomination for Aisling Walsh's award-winning TV drama 'An Inspector Calls', starring David Thewlis, and was nominated for EMMY and ACE awards for the Golden Globe winner 'RKO 281', starring Liev Schrieber. Alex was also nominated for EMMY and ACE awards for editing the pilot for the multi-award winning series 'C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation'.

The many feature films cut by Alex include 'The Young Americans' ‘Judge Dredd' 'Out of Blue' 'St Trinian's' 'The Heart of Me' and her ecent TV drama work includes 'Elizabeth is Missing' which won huge critical acclaim.

VANESSA TAYLOR

Two years ago, post house Molinare appointed Vanessa Taylor as a senior colourist. Taylor’s CV spans films and dramas such as Red Joan, Swimming with Men, The White Princess, Avengers: Age of Ultron and The Great Gatsby.

She began her career in online editing and VFX before moving into DI and colour grading. Molinare head of grading Gareth Spensley said, “Vanessa’s talent, knowledge and experience across features and high end drama makes her the perfect addition to our already outstanding team of colourists.”
